Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Damien "acaDamien" Kelly. 

I live in middle Tennessee with my wife and kids. I am an Associate Manager of Technology Development for a consulting firm and I have been with them since March 2020. Before that, I came from the telecommunications industry in which I had a 25-year career in technology in various roles such as a business analyst and as the Salesforce Administrator for the Southern U.S. region. These days my expertise lies in Salesforce, Tableau, and SQL. 

I am a life-long learner and I have a real interest in technology and how it can be utilized for the betterment of society. We are in exciting times and I am watching it all unfold with wide-eyed wonder. I cannot see what the next few years have in store for us and I want to have my hands in it. I also along the way want to mentor and help shape the technology workers of tomorrow. I am currently working on my BA in Business Information Systems and I am doing this as I never had the opportunity to go to school to further my education. My career goals are to continue investing myself in various technologies such as AI in Salesforce’s Einstein analytics and to begin getting my feet wet in Amazon Web Services (AWS). 

My hobbies are exceptionally varied. I am a heavy reader and I am a huge fan of science fiction and science books, superhero movies, and television. I listen to a lot of music from heavy metal to classical and pretty much everything in between. I also play a lot of Dungeons & Dragons with my wife and kids.
